Tropical fruits

On my recent holiday to Mauritius, being a city boy and all I was struck by how many coconut, papaya, mango and lychee trees and their fruits I saw growing around the island. We need to do the same here with our native fruits. Can you imagine apple trees growing uninhibited on London’s streets. Would certainly help tackle our ‘obesity crisis’.

Down the Coastal Road

When driving in the tropics, there’s two things that really lighten up the travel. Palm trees and spectacular sunsets.

Perfect Beach, CA

Sun-kissed seas, sublime sunsets, tropical resorts and dolphins frolicking amongst the palms. It’s my kind of perfect.

Bahamas, July 2 1987

Despite Uncle Derek still quite hungover from the pina colada marathon he endured at the hotel yesterday, he managed to bring the video camera with him and we shot some amazing sunsets here at South Ocean Beach. It almost felt like an episode of Miami Vice.

Under the sea with Valentina

Step below the waves and frolic in this virtual aquarium featuring dolphins, tropical fish and some strangely bright coloured aquatic plants. A beautiful underwater feast for scuba diving eyes from Valentina of Russia.
