A sly reference to the infamous Deepwater Horizon oil spill of April 2010, from a BP-owned oil rig. The Deepwater rig exploded one day, killing 11 workers and inundating the Gulf of Louisiana with hundreds or more of gallons of raw crude oil. The futility of BP’s response in tackling the environmental disaster is best reflected by a man hopelessly beating an out-of-control hose with a sandal.

A little something different from the classic GIFs collection today. This one comes from the website of Totalgaz, a French LNG supplier and the GIF depicts their logo fading to a gas tanker somewhere in the French Alps (I think!). The company is now called Finagaz. I probably got this GIF from my research of companies when I first started work at my current employer.
