This little boy’s reaction when he clinches the strike at the pins despite all odds is just so cute!

How many people can say they got slapped by Napoleon Dynamite in the audio-visual club room?

Staying on the subject of football, we move from sloppy tackles to a manager getting twatted in the face by a ball in a pique of post-match anger. Who said there’s no longer any passion in the game?

The twisted contract of Jeremy Hunt

Junior doctors are going on strike today over a controversial new contract being pushed through by UK health secretary Jeremy Hunt. Many are annoyed at the way he is bulldozing the contract through and disregarding their opinions. Junior doctors work very hard, much more than your average Tory !!

London Tube strikes for August called off

Just had some good news this evening. The tube train strikes called by the unions for most of this week have been postponed, although new potential strike action has been called for early September. Nevertheless I am very relieved. Happy, happy, joy, joy!!

I managed to plan THREE alternative routes with the help of the TfL Journey Planner to get into work, but for now I can breathe easy, unlike the poor commuters in the District Line train above.

London Tube Strike – 5th & 6th August 2015

Today is the second all-line Tube strike by the London Underground unions in the past two months. It was enacted due to pay and work hours disputes between the unions and TfL over London Mayor Boris Johnson’s much vaunted plan to make the Tube a 24-hour operation this September.

This punny GIF is dedicated to both the striking staff of LU and the commuters who are walking, cabbing, taking the bus, the river boat, or the penny-farthing to work/college today.

Not me though. I chickened out and booked a day off. Packed buses at Liverpool Street station…naah, I don’t think so.
