Lemat’s Future Meteors

 

Every time a meteor comes close to the earth, we all think about the end of the world – but our internal soundtrack doesn’t turn off. We’re also thinking about pizza or passing a slow tractor or making a turn, and for a magical instant, our lives seem to be in conversation with the stars.

In 2015, there were two instances of hundreds of dollars’ worth of banknotes mysteriously blown through the streets, in Kuwait and Dubai. The appearance of so much cash sparked free for alls among passers-by and drivers, news outlets reported.

Food, glorious food

 

My colleague Sandra’s husband works as a delivery driver for a restaurant, and brings home a lot of leftover food from his workplace. Sandra brings a lot over to our office. I’ve had cake, salmon and chicken, all in neat little white boxes. She and her hubby don’t even have to cook that much.

Lucky – forever missed

 

I just found out yesterday that one of my Mum’s cats, named Lucky, may have been put to sleep after badly injuring herself while running in the kitchen the day before. I haven’t received proper confirmation yet, but will be visiting my Mum and siblings today. Yesterday night I made a memorial GIF for Lucky, my tubby little ‘cushion’.
