#30YearsofGIFs – 7

Lovable Pikachu, the yellow star of the anime series Pokémon, first made his appearance in 1996 in a Nintendo Game Boy game and arrived on TV a year later. A generation of people made Pokemon GIFs to put on their sites and really show they caught them all!. Unlike many things from the heyday of GIFs, Pokémon are still going strong, as last year’s Pokémon Go craze can attest.

Eggs, death and chips

This morning, my landlord’s brain-dead girlfriend decided to warm up the house with the strong aroma of fried eggs and chips (fries). Now I don’t find the smell of fry-ups objectionable at all, but this woman has a habit of leaving the gas on and disappearing off somewhere. No surprises, if one day she burns the kitchen down. Slow clap, Buk Lau, slow clap!! :/ 🍳 🔥 🏥

Vijay’s classic GIFs 2007-2011 – 211

A peculiar mishmash of moving images, including the boy Chunk from The Goonies doing his characteristic ‘truffle shuffle’, a suited gentleman spinning a vinyl record, a dancing Pikachu and a stick man on the toilet contemplating whether to end it all.

Pokemon Go

Pokémon Go, the latest iteration of the popular Pokémon games by Nintendo, has taken the world by storm. It has just been launched in the UK, and sees players use augmented reality to go out and about and catch Pikachus, Jigglypuffs and the like in actual places.
