Pinkish Gate Bridge

The beautiful city of Gifville is sliced perfectly in half by the grand Giffy River. Like any river, you need bridges (or maybe a boat) to get across. In the more pixellated part of town, the Pinkish Gate Bridge is a popular thoroughfare, famed for its bricky, pink-painted steel girders and wiry things. Legend has it, that the bridge was constructed as a result of the city’s founder, Vijay Shah, losing a bet with his pink-loving 8-year-old niece.

It’s just so lovable

Though Blinkies have been out of fashion for quite a while, I still find them quite lovely, with their flashing graphics and words, and their customisation.

The jelly baby gets ready to crawl

My newest niece Maliyah is now past three months. She’s already begun teething, has developed a cute little laugh, and is well on her way to learning how to crawl. Go, go, my little ‘jelly baby’.

Becoming dislevelled

“Many of the people I’ve introduced it to personally have expressed the strongest disbelief that it could be a positive and sincere sound, but the incredible thing about vaporwave is it’s not emotionally or aesthetically detached, not superficially ironic.”

Watching my weight

For nearly two months now, I’ve been dieting to combat the pot belly and flab that comes with being a thirtysomething who eats not that healthily. Now I eat less than 1,650 calories per day, go gym on weekends and in the past two weeks alone I’ve shed 3.8 kg (8.4 lbs). I’m looking to drop to around 85-90 kilos from my current weight of just over 106 kg. Wish me all the best.
