Pinkish Gate Bridge

The beautiful city of Gifville is sliced perfectly in half by the grand Giffy River. Like any river, you need bridges (or maybe a boat) to get across. In the more pixellated part of town, the Pinkish Gate Bridge is a popular thoroughfare, famed for its bricky, pink-painted steel girders and wiry things. Legend has it, that the bridge was constructed as a result of the city’s founder, Vijay Shah, losing a bet with his pink-loving 8-year-old niece.

Sri Yantra Zoom – Sacred Geometry

The eighth in our February 2016 series of GIFs by artist Ansel Bickerton.

The vivid color in this piece is a result of the oil pastels used in the original painting. The Sri Yantra as it is called is an ancient Hindu symbol. In this symbol nine triangles converge to form 43 smaller ones. It is a web that is symbolic of the womb of the universe.
