The Redbridge Museum

 

 

This morning I visited the Redbridge Museum and Heritage Centre in Clements Road, Ilford, in the town centre. It’s a small civic museum featuring objects and ephemera from the borough of Redbridge from the Victorian era up to the 1990s. A fascinating snapshot into the history of our area, ideal for local history buffs and schoolchildren studying history projects. There’s no dino skeletons here but there’s a mammoth skull displayed just outside the museum.

Can’t fool around with the rent!

 

Today may be April Fool’s Day, but getting the rent paid is no laughing matter. Just finished my rent admin, so luckily my continued roof over the head isn’t about to go in some cruel prank played by life.

Giphy Film Fest

 

Renowned GIF warehouse and Gifville partner GIPHY is launching its own short film festival. The festival takes place in New York City this November and entrants are invited to submit ‘micro films’ of maximum 18 seconds in length, with a top prize of US $10,000 up for grabs.
