Childhood gaming

 

My first memory of a Nintendo game was in the early 1990s when my Mum’s friend’s partner brought round a game of Super Mario. We were too poor to afford our own console, so it was a great experience for me. Inspired by a conversation with my friend/colleague Sandra about our childhoods.

Right now I was just talking with my friend Sandra about the little band of cute singing otters I saw this past Saturday at London Zoo.

Take-off

 

When I was little, I would often spend hours in the back garden looking for ladybirds. The way they would open up their spotted wing casing (like a flash sportscar), then spread their wings and fly off was always a bit fascinating.

The twisted contract of Jeremy Hunt

 

Junior doctors are going on strike today over a controversial new contract being pushed through by UK health secretary Jeremy Hunt. Many are annoyed at the way he is bulldozing the contract through and disregarding their opinions. Junior doctors work very hard, much more than your average Tory !!
