Weighing up the loan regret options

Never mind weighing… I’m still waiting for a certain somebody to pay me back the massive loan I lent him since several months ago. He just trots out the same old tired excuses. Man I hate lending… or borrowing!

Mr Shah, would you like 2.9% interest on new purchases?

The nights may be drawing in Mr Shah, but there’s still plenty to enjoy this autumn. Whether you’re looking forward to some evenings out or a few days away, you can stay in control of your finances with a new low interest rate.

Buy a Car Plan

A GIF taken from an email sent to me in October 2017 by credit score service ClearScore. The email informed me of a new service offered by ClearScore, the Buy a Car Coaching Plan, which is designed to help people choose the right car finance plan and get them on the road to a new motor.

I cannot drive, so unfortunately this won’t be something I can take advantage of.

Mr Shah, keep track of your spending

The MetroCentre in Gateshead, north England is the UK’s (and Europe’s) biggest shopping centre. I got this GIF from my bank’s email about new text alerts that tell you when you’ve blown too much dough on the shopping extravaganza. Luckily, I’m not much of a shopaholic.

Say hello to your new financial coach

Another ClearScore GIF, this one more recent. I got this in March and there’s a happy customer walking her dog while skateboarding at the same time. Quite the multitasker. In the foreground, there is a smartphone screen showing a mock-up convo about the company’s Coaching service, to help people take control of their finances.

Student loans

Ah, the good old Student Loans Company. Between 2003 and 2006 I got a £15,000 loan from them for university. Christ, I’m still paying it off!!… but don’t worry they have good repayment plans.
