Singh Sabha London East

Earlier today, I visited the Singh Sabha East London gurudwara (Sikh temple) in Barking to attend a friend’s niece’s thanksgiving prayer. The adorable little girl had survived a battle with leukaemia and was now completely healthy. I saw the shabad performance there and afterwards enjoyed a slap-up meal in the gurudwara’s langar, or communal kitchen, as well as meeting my mate, who I hadn’t seen in months as well as meeting his immediate and extended family.

Alma Peregrine – in full colour

Delightful shape-shifting school headteacher Alma Peregrine returns in glorious colour. Handy with the gun as well as being a falcon, it seems. You can see the Kevin Weir vintage version of her at this post.

Peregrinna

In the 1880s, a young well-turned English aristocrat discovered she had the ability to shape shift into a falcon. She spend most of her days harassing the numerous pigeons of her Bletchley Hall estate, and reading Yeats to lost owl chicks. Artwork by Kevin Weir.
