Startups are saving retail.

Brick-and-mortar spending is expected to grow by $36 billion over the next four years, and e-commerce by $50 billion, according to a study by Deloitte. But as new technology closes the gap between online browsing and in-store buying, spending could go even higher.

London Tube Strike – 5th & 6th August 2015

Today is the second all-line Tube strike by the London Underground unions in the past two months. It was enacted due to pay and work hours disputes between the unions and TfL over London Mayor Boris Johnson’s much vaunted plan to make the Tube a 24-hour operation this September.

This punny GIF is dedicated to both the striking staff of LU and the commuters who are walking, cabbing, taking the bus, the river boat, or the penny-farthing to work/college today.

Not me though. I chickened out and booked a day off. Packed buses at Liverpool Street station…naah, I don’t think so.
