That’s a long way down in Shaanxi

If you’re an adventurous tourist with a very good head for heights and preferably a small pair of feet, come say ‘ni hao’ to the Chang Kong Cliff Road in China’s Shaanxi Province. It’s thousands of feet up Mt. Huashan and is popular among hikers of a steely disposition.

End it?

A man in an Arab country stands on a building ledge, contemplating committing suicide. Bystanders and emergency services wait below next to a safety inflatable intended to catch the man should he jump. Meanwhile, a lone firefighter aims a quick kick to the would-be jumper’s back, sending him on a plummet to safety below. A tragedy averted. Captured on CCTV.

New Zealand’s Nevis Swing

The Nevis Bungy is a bungee jumping platform in the Southern Alps near Queenstown in New Zealand’s South Island. It is the third highest bungee jumping platform in the world at a height of 134 metres. It is suspended by high-tension cords, which are fixed at both ends on either side of the Nevis River valley. A word of advice – don’t eat beforehand!
