The trouble with Onedrive

Now don’t get me wrong. I love Onedrive. At work we now have to start moving our files and documents to Onedrive for Business. Problem is, I have so much stuff, including data archive, which I must preserve for documentary purposes, that getting them all including sub-folders onto the cloud is proving a mammoth task. Oh well, let IT sort it 🙂

Below the belt

I’m making very good progress on my diet. I now weigh just over 88 kilos, and am closing in on a waist size of 38 inches. What this means is my current selection of belts no longer fit so I’ve had to spend some punching in new holes further down each belt to accommodate my shrinking middle. Crazy!

70th anniversary of the NHS

Since 1948, the NHS has been a blessing to Britain, providing treatments and care for everyone, regardless of their background or earning. Sadly, it is now being underfunded and manipulated by certain politicians. We need to safeguard it for now and for future generations.

Vijay’s classic GIFs 2007-2011 – 343

A cute little geographic animation showing a theoretical simulation of the breakup of the supercontinent Pangaea (Pangea) 175 million years ago.

Council tax woes

An infographic showing median house prices by London council tax band over the past two decades. As house prices have shot up, so more properties have become technically eligible to pay the highest Band H rating. This post was inspired by a conversation with my colleague Sandra about paying her £90/month council tax bill with Haringey Council.

Flower pot heater for warm pansies

A diagram of a simple room heater made from a bread tin, two terracotta flower pots and powered by candles. On Saturday, my landlord finally got his troublesome heating sorted out. He had a lock put on the cupboard housing the boiler (as he doesn’t like us touching it, the weirdo), but we also now have a thermostat in the kitchen, and the house no longer feels like Hell’s belly when he decides to blast the heating on.
