Rotating house

I’m hoping that in the next one to three years I will be able to buy my own house. However the London housing market is an overheated and painfully expensive one, so as they say ‘beggars can’t be choosers’. Even if my new home rotates, it shan’t bother me too much.

A chicken’s Christmas

I’ve read before that the colour red is super interesting to chickens or something. Like they will peck and eat anything red and it’s not unheard of for a chicken to get an injury like a cut and then having the entire coup basically attack and eat the chicken leaving the farmer to discovers a pile of bones, blood and feathers. They make chicken blinders to try and stop this.

First Dog on the Moon Calendar

It’s the 2016 official First Dog on the Moon Calendar

A fun cartoon graphic which appeared on the website of the British newspaper The Guardian today. It was created by First Dog on the Moon, the Walkley award winning political cartoonist for The Guardian Australia. They are one of many great cartoonists to have been immortalised in GIFs. Australia’s unique cassowary bird also gets a special mention.

Breaking news – giant seagull terrorises Melbourne

Here’s one for my fellow journalists…

Viewers of the morning news bulletin on Australia’s Channel 9 got a surprise when a generously proportioned seagull was seen strolling in the background past anchor Peter Hitchinor as he read out a story concerning a murder in Melbourne in 2009.

As far as we know, the giant seagull wasn’t the culprit. She just wanted her 15 minutes of fame…meanwhile kudos to Peter for not flinching and keeping professional.
