Online food orders site Hungry House is celebrating its 12th birthday. Their ‘STEAL THE BA£ON” competition is inviting people to tell HH their fave birthday meal for a chance to win some credit with the site.
“We’ve turned 12 years old! And like any pre-teen, we’re dyeing our hair, our hormones are kicking off, and we’re feeling a twinge of nostalgia for childhood”

It has been one year since I joined the credit score agency ClearScore. It was these guys who showed me easily how well my score had improved and it still keeps getting better 😀

Gifville’s sister blog, The Half-Eaten Mind, turned 5 today. As part of this milestone, the blog has undergone a complete change with new branding and name. I created this simple GIF showing the old and new HEM blog header images blending into each other perpetually.

I am a member of social media site Facebook and this month I celebrated my ninth year on it. I joined on the 8th December, 2008. Facebook released a special personalised video, with lots of cool badges, brilliantly captured in the above GIF.

Now here comes the final part of our homemade GIFs marking the blog’s first year. This one pulls out all the stops. Loads of dancing hamsters, the Gifville road sign dominates the foreground, and there’s a special appearance by Snoop Dogg. This design is fully ‘on fleek’!!

As part of the blog’s 1st anniversary celebrations, I’m only showcasing GIFs I’ve built. For Part Two, we’ve got this impressive retro-style ‘ident’, a sort of advertising banner for Gifville, influenced by vintage games such as the Super Mario series and Space Invaders. It is also in a heavy retina-paralysing wardrobe of rainbow colours, cos well, it’s nice.

Today is the first anniversary of the founding of Gifville in a living room in Seven Kings, just outside London. I have been collecting GIFs for some years and have always appreciated these relatively simple, yet visually stunning computer graphics.
To celebrate my gallery of animated images and art being open for 365 days, I have produced some GIFs of my own to share. First up is our anniversary special, produced using popular GIF maker, Blingee. This creation was influenced by Japanese/Korean GIF art, especially ‘sowei’ and the Kawai’i animation tradition, probably one of Japan’s best design gifts to the world. This GIF also pays homage to my love of sweet treats and sunny side up eggs.
