Uber launching flying cars in 2020 🚀

 

We wanted flying cars, all we got was a Chrome extension that blocks tweets longer than 140 characters.

Taxi firm Uber, which has a food delivery arm, is planning to branch out into flying cars by 2020. The company announced an on-demand fully electric vertical takeoff and landing flying car service that looks like it’s straight out of The Jetsons.

Patrick Star clearly has a fear of flying.

This post is dedicated to the hard-working planes (and their crews) constantly flying in and out of nearby London City Airport. Also dedicated to myself. I’ll be flying out to sunny India three days from now. In case you’re wondering, it’ll be on an evening flight with Jet Airways. I have less a fear of flying and more of a fear of derisory levels of legroom.

According to popular image-hosting site Imgur, this simple pixellated GIF of a commercial airliner is the world’s first, made by an unknown designer at Compuserve in 1987. Compuserve and rival Unisys originated the GIF format in the Eighties.
