They came in wide-eyed curiosity – Princess Mononoke

 

The entities emerged en masse from the bushes around, drawn by the strange spectacle. Freeing themselves from the hidden black and green shadows, their eyes and mouths began to go wide with amazement. This was the most moving thing they had seen since they materialised on Earth.

This scene originally came from the 1997 anime film Princess Mononoke,  directed by Hayao Miyazaki. It was animated by Studio Ghibli and produced by Toshio Suzuki.
